i stumbled across this. i have lots of new followers who may not know what i look like. here you can see a little bit of me 😌 on one of my happy vacations of this year—in my beloved turkey.

my hair is a bit longer now, but the makeup stayed. dark eyeliner, dark brown lips. i also look a little older now 🙈 25 does that to you.

i wish i could go back, but i remind myself that i have so many things to look forward to in the future. 🤍

i am back! i’m currently looking at a rainbow from my balcony as i’m smoking. i’ve just returned from my vacation in turkey and i’m back, brimming with sunlight, longing and love. i’ve recharged, my mind and heart is full of ideas and i’ve missed you all so much. these last couple of days, i’ve craved to start writing for you again, but i rested as much as i could and i finally started writing part two of berries today.

i want to share some of my memories from my vacation with you. the pictures i posted above are all mine—and yes, that’s me in the middle. all dolled up, reading a little before dinner. i didn’t fall in love with anyone this time (it’s my habit, vacation crushes are the bane of my existence), but i did fall in love with the country, the customs of the turks, their honesty, love, patience and kindness. i had a taste of all those things myself—a guy lent me his jacket when it was raining on a boat in the middle of a green canyon and i was shivering in cold; an old man wanted me to sit in the passenger seat as he drove us from the beach to our hotel; a younger fella gave me a handful of fresh strawberries he was selling for free, then a whole cup of them when he saw how much i enjoyed them; an even elderly woman brought food to my plate with a smile on her beautiful, sun-kissed face. conversations with strangers, language barriers, the heat, compliments, smiles and faint touches—i experienced beauty to that very extent.

i also had the opportunity to fall in love with myself. dolling myself up, wearing different makeup than i usually do, dressing myself in milky colors, grays, whites and browns, taking care of my skin in the sun, caressing the waves sloshing upon my body, curling my hair, filling my belly until it was so full i had to rub it to alleviate it from its ache—all of those things really helped me love myself after a long season of hatred. i drank, smoked, read, dreamed, danced and laughed. i needed it like the air i breathe. 🩶

i walked until my feet and back hurt. thought of namjoon everyday, of how much he would’ve loved the beauty i saw. brought jungkook with me everywhere (and photocards of the rest of the boys in my wallet). and those stars you see? i will pour them into my writing for you, fill you with what i’ve been filled with, make you nice and full.

hope my kisses lasted you for the week. i am sending another set of them—i hope you can feel them.

What if I redesigned some horses to fit MY favorite narrative trope: fallen gods and forgotten myths of old? Anyways.

Twilight’s mentor is a strange one. In a world of twilit planes forever shrouded in mystery, the older unicorn Lest and her adopted student Twilight are one in many common travelers, migrating the pitted wastelands and eeking survival within settlements that spring up around the glowing meteor shards. Despite living with Lest for the last four years, Twilight can’t help but seek answers to where her brother has gone— and in the process, perhaps dig a bit too deeply into the complexities of gods far older and dangerous then she can truly fathom.

On the otherhand, Celestia “Lest” Sol is having a terrible millenium. Her sister is no longer her sister, her student teleported herself halfway across the continent, and she got herself kidnapped by an old rival trying to attune with the elements of harmony to overthrow the current ruler of Equestria.

At least she gets a toxic yuri moment.

Meanwhile, Chrysalis is having a great time. She’s got kingdoms to conquer and people to feed and a waning god to taunt.

(The Selene Grace hates the sun monarch they deposed five centuries ago as they stay chained to their post, keeping the lunar and solar bodies from crashing into each other. Luna misses her sister, and the easier world where they haven’t hurt each other beyond reparation. Nightmare Moon misses their monstrosity, trapped in a host who’s grief has poisoned them with empathy.

Things are bound to tip. The celestial bodies are not bodies, but prisons, and the amalgamations we call alicorns the key. And something desperately wants to be freed…)

Do you guys ever think how Zuko is the only person who proves Katara that he won't leave her again?

Katara has abandonment issues. That's why she was so angry at Hakoda when they saw each other again, that's why she became so anxious when they had to separate, that's why she lashes out at Zuko himself, bringing up her mother's death. It's implied throughout the series that she has been abandoned physically and emotionally by the people she held dear.

Of course, Hakoda acknowledges and apologizes, but we don't see him making the effort to show Katara that he won't make her feel that way again—(which is probably due to the pacing of the story, although it's still a poor writing choice, but I digress).

But we see Zuko making an effort.

After betraying her, he is determined to make it up to her by any means. Even when she is openly hostile to him, he remains respectful and protective of her. He is constantly showing kind and heroic gestures. He goes out of his way for it in TSR to help her confront her feelings of grief and resentment, and saves her life yet again during Sozin's Comet. He expresses he has her best interest at heart through words and actions.

Thinking about all of that makes their relationship and personal character journey even more beautiful.

@luna-vixen-art art style! Time Taken: 1h 11m It was actually a lot of fun to draw this style! I know Luna/Vixen does smooth Lineart, but I thought it would be fun to do the sketch Lineart. I tired my best to replicate it. But certain things I had to just guess. I also didn’t mean for the pose to be so stiff, nor did I mean for the face to be so off. But I think it worked out pretty good!

It’s unfortunate that people on here are just so nasty. And it’s honestly why you’re seeing the fandom continue to shrink. I don’t really understand what people’s goals are. Other than being mean for the sake of being mean.

You curate your own space, and when you run all the writers off this site, what fandom experience are you going to have left? Think about it.

It makes me not even want to be on this site anymore (I’ve already been limiting my time on, which I’m sure many have noticed). And I’m sure I’m not the only one on here feeling this way as well.

I’d just say check on your favorite authors, because it definitely hurts when one (like Emmy and many others at this point) that we all love gets quite literally run off the site. And I’m sure it also prompts some to reevaluate whether or not this is a safe or fun space anymore.

Especially when this is someone (Emmy) who has always been kind to those around her (myself included), and is running her own business and pregnant. She should be ENJOYING this season, and some people just have literally no sense of decorum or common decency.

Remember that WE ARE ALL HUMANS ON HERE.
